This book is a sequel to Layard's Nineveh and Its Remains (also available from Gorgias Press). It describes the second expedition to Nineveh, undertaken by Layard for the Trustees of the British Museum. The volume includes a reproduction of over 200 wood-cuts--the first illustrations made of sites in and around Nineveh.
