This reprint of Anspacher’s seminal work on the reign of Tiglath Pileser III is the historic first attempt to provide a succinct account of the reign of this Assyrian king. Tiglath Pileser III, known from several biblical texts, marked the beginning of the powerful Neo-Assyrian Empire. Abraham Samuel Anspacher (1877-1927) was a Rabbi in Scranton and Hazelton, Pennsylvania. He earned his Ph.D. from Columbia University.
