While many of his works did not survive, his The Paradise of Eden, a collection of theological poetry, reached us. It was also known in Arabic as the Maqamat. The Paradise was first published by G. Cardahi, Paradisus Eden, in 1889. Later it was issued by Joseph E. Y. de Kelaita in Urmia in 1916, and for a second time in Mosul in 1928, from which the current edition is made. This edition also includes other poems by Bar Hebraeus, Bar Ma`dani, Khamis bar Qardahi, and Mar Narsai.
