The legend of the Seven Sleepers has been known in many Christian traditions, east and west, and even in Islam. The present work contains a number of previously unedited eastern Christian texts related to the legend, edited and translated by the eminent Italian scholar of Eastern Christianity Ignazio Guidi (1844-1935).
