This unique volume begins with a discussion of the doctrine of the Supper, eventually coming to a consideration of the lives of the Fathers extant in Syriac texts then at the British Museum. After this introduction, Dietrich goes on to describe several such manuscripts. Six plates contain a number of fragments of these manuscripts. This slim book will especially be of interest to students of hagiography and Syriac manuscripts.
