Eusebius of Caesarea, the friend and biographer of Constantine, wrote the first history of the Church. It is here translated from the oldest surviving Syriac manuscripts, the Saint Petersburg MS dated to 462, the sixth-century, but superior, British Library MS, and several fragments.
