The text was copied for the author from a manuscript in the Monastery of Rabban Hormizd. The work is divided into ten sections dealing with the beliefs and practices of the Yezidis, including their doctrine of God, Adam, Yezidi saints and kings, marriage, death and burial customs, pilgrimage, and festivals. In addition to the Syriac text and Italian translation, the author has included several notes to the text. The book will be of obvious interest to scholars of the religions of Iraq.
