Sources for the study of the liturgical practices of many of the Oriental orthodox traditions are often difficult for scholars to access because they are only found in the various manuscript collections of libraries around the world. Thus, the scholarly community is indebted to those who find and publish these texts in scholarly journals. In the present article, P. Maternus Wolff publishes the Syriac text and German translation of twenty Eucharistic prayers found in the Sachau Codex. Wolff accompanies the text and translation with an apparatus containing critical notes and an introduction in which he discusses the source of the text and the unique features of these prayers.
