Ramez Boutros is teaching Coptic Studies at the University of Toronto, in the Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations, and a Research Fellow at the Pontifical Institute of Medieval Studies. He holds a D.E.A. diploma and a Ph.D. in “Sciences de l’Antiquité” from the University of Marc Bloch in Strasbourg, France. Between 1990 and 2005 he worked as Architect and Researcher for the French Institute of Oriental Archaeology in Cairo.
The Journal of the Canadian Society for Coptic Studies is the publication of the research papers presented in the Annual Symposium of the Society at the University of Toronto. The papers cover different aspects of Coptic Studies.
