Professor Vassilios Christides, Ph.D. Princeton University, is specializedin Arabic Studies with emphasis on Arab navigation and Arab-Byzantine relations. He is currently an academic associate of Ancient Near Eastern Studies UNISA, lecturer at New York College in Athens, Greece, and director of the Institute for Graeco-Oriental and African Studies (IGOAS), Kryoneri Attikis, Greece.
